Another dead driver's seat heater and thank everyone for the thread. I opened the seat from the rear (without removing) today. The pink wire was broken, but it appears it is broken at the element rather than mid-wire.

For those who have reconnected broken wires, doesn't this look like I'm going to need to order an element? I can't find (feeling) the other end of the wire, only what feels like the element. Or, do I just need to pull it all apart to find the other end?
