Borla-S, Hushpower, or SLP II
After doing alot of research today I found the new Flowmaster Hushpower #819106 has 3" full 409SS pipes, and only 1 clamp per side, proven to add 8hp to the rear tires per Dyno.
Hard to find a real comparison on these Axelbacks. SLP Loudmouth II-2.5" 3 clamps per side. Borla S-2.5" 2 clamps per side. Flowmaster Hushpower-3.0" 1 clamp per side, proven gains. What would you buy if these were your only options? P.S. They are all about $550 shipped. SORRY for another thread. I just DO NOT want to crawl under a jacked-up car in the winter to put on a full catback. |

Go to Youtube and checkout 2010 Camaro SS Hushpower axelback. Great video done by Flowmaster on install and sound, also dyno gain of 8hp 9ft.lb. torque.
Tell me what you think of the quality and sound. I would add it here if I knew how, SORRY boys and girls. |

I'm almost sure that the Hushpower axle back is what I'll be going with. But, I'm also going to remove the stock H-pipe and resonators and replace them with a true X-pipe (non-resonated).

^^^Nice. After watching the video, it looks like TOP QUALITY. Plus its a 3" and requires only 1 clamp. Another awesome quality is IT IS proven to add 8hp to the tires, thats about 11hp added from the crank. So 426+11=437hp, SWEET.
I WISH Youtube had more sound video's, as I WANT my LS3 to be kind of loud. I was considering the Loudmouth axelback without mufflers, but I am afraid it will POP, BIRP, BURBLE TOO MUCH ????? |

I ended up ordering the Flowmaster Hushpower.
Reasons: 1-1 piece welded pipes/muffler. 2-3" pipes. 3-Quality looks top notch. 4-8hp on a Dyno, real results, not just added sound. 5-Very easy to take off, 2-clamps total. 6-$549 with shipping. I have a new 80g JVC camcorder with easy Youtube transfer. I will take a few video's if I can figure out how? |

I debated the Solo system, SLP LMII and the Flowmaster you purchased as well. I ended up ordering the Flowmaster Hushpower from Maryland Speed and I will say that they were 429.95 SHIPPED. I hope they sound as good as I anticipate.

I just posted these on another post, so I thought I would share. The clamping thing is what I did not like at first also. I was looking at some of the others you mentioned. After talking with others that had the slp, they convinced me. It actually made it very easy to fine tune the position perfect. Also, you can adjust your tips to the length you desire. Quality is second to none. I am very happy I went with them. They look great from behind the car and sound awesome too.
