Help me decide interior colour to go with Cyber Gray exterior! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Which do you think looks nicer for the cyber gray exterior: gray leather or inferno orange leather?

I'm thinking that the IO is overkill on a Camaro and can even make it a little, shall we say, redneck? The gray seems more elegant and subtle.

Perhaps it's the execution as I've seen Sema red interiors that look really nice, but I think the IO looks a little vinyl looking.

But what is YOUR opinion?

Well call me a "redneck" (I am from Arkansas!) as I love the IOM w/ CGM. I am waiting on a CGM, IOM interior, and IOM stripes right now.

I agree that the gray does have a more "refined" look but that is not what I am going for with buying this car! Both interiors look great in my book but it boils down to what you like.

This isn't my daily driver either so that may have influenced my decision on which interior to order.

Well...if you think the IO is "a little redneck," I think you've made your decision.

I'd go gray/gray as well. It doesn't really make sense to me why you'd want a GRAY car but then get an ORANGE interior. If you're going w/ the subdued, timeless stealth of gray...why would you want the loudest interior?

No offense to any w/ that color combo, and I have yet to see a bad-looking '10 Camaro.

IMO black to me looks the best of all.. But out of the two you named, i would definitely say grey.. My ABM is going to have grey because it was already ordered like that when i put my name on it (wasn't worth the extra month and a half to have black)..

I agree with CamaroFemme, haven't seen a combination yet that I'd refuse. The CGM w/ IOM doesn't look bad, it just doesn't fit me. The gray looks nice though.

My car is IOM with black leather. I considered the IOM interior, but decided it was just too much orange. I definately would include IOM interior with CGM. See pic.

Hope I did that right.

I have some rules when it comes to aesthetics.

When you have a conservative body, you can hottify it by adding performance wheels and red seats to balance it.

When you have a muscle car body, you tone it down and make the interior look more refined/elegant to balance it.

I think if the Camaro had a dark red interior colour, there would be less of a question as I consider dark red a "richer" appearance. I think the Inferno Orange is "nice" but doesn't help to make the interior look "richer" IMO.

I'm not looking to argue with anyone - in fact I'm still on the fence and my friends say the IO is nicer, I'm just looking to generate more thoughts on this.

I think if you have to go with dual colour red/black interior - it has to be subtle and tasteful. There's a danger of over-doing it. The question is: is the IO Camaro interior just right or a little too much?

I have Cyber Grey and IOM and I wouldn't have it any other way. People always say its an awesome surprise when they open the door. IOM all the way!

I have the CMG 2SS/RS with the gray interior and really like the way the gray centre of the seats closely match the trim around the shifter and gauges. Only down side is you will probably want a darker floor mat. AQfter washing the car at the car wash it is hard to not track up the mats.

I just ordered my 2SS/RS in CGM and I got the black leather. I think it looks the most classy.
