Best Comments About Your Car...

So I'm curious... what have people been saying about your car? I just had a very strange discussion with a lady that I ran into (figuratively speaking) in a parking lot. It went down like this:

*Opened my car door and threw my stuff onto the passenger seat*

Lady: That's a beautiful car.
Me: Thanks... yeah I love it.
Lady: It kinds looks like a Challenger.
Me: Nah, the Challenger looks like the Camaro.
Me: Actually The Challenger and Mustang both look like everything else. This one doesn't.
Lady: Are those 20's?
Me: Yeah they are.
Lady: How much did you pay for that if you don't mind me asking?
Me: Oh about 30.
Lady: Wow, not bad. Are you married?
Me: Yeah I am.
Lady: Want to cheat?
Me: No, she'd probably end up taking this away from me.

Strange times I tell you. The most odd conversation about a car I think I've ever had.

My favorite thing is when people ask me how much the custom paint job cost. I love the look on their face when I tell them that Inferno Orange Metallic is a factory color. They don't want to believe me.

That is extremely interesting...especially the cheating comment.

What is it with people now a days?? Can't they just respect the fact that someone is taken and they need to lay their grimy paws off. She was probably kidding but still. Some people have no moral values anymore. I miss the days when you picked one person to be with for a very long long time, and they were also the only person you were with.

Back on topic though: The best comment I've ever gotten doesn't qualify as a comment at all.

I had just gotten the car off the dealerships lot, not even 20 minutes had gone by and I drove to my local mall to pick up dinner. I was only gone maybe 10 minutes or less and came out to a crowd of people surrounding my car. They have a classic car show in the mall parking lot every Saturday and they had walked to the other side of the lot just to see my car. I parked in the back so by the time I got to the car everyone had cleared out.

Definitely an awesome moment for me!

Not a conversation I've personally had, but when I pick up my girls from school overhearing from my girls class mates: "WOW! Your mom has the COOLEST car EVER! Your so lucky!"

Makes me smile.

My favorite so far is from a young man who was working at the local BP gas station. He came out and said, "Holy Shit! What do you have in that thing? That is the baddest Camaro I've ever seen!" Then while I'm telling the young man all the mods we did to and what it dynoed (while I'm pumping gas), the guy next to me in his Cavalier, peeked his head around the gas pump and said "I'm jealous"...

Sorry for using bad language, just repeating what he said.

My favorite is when I'm driving through the parking lot somewhere and the people in the lot have a smile and motion for me to "burn some rubber"!

The best comment so far was when me and a friend (his first time in the 2010 Camaro) pulled into the parking lot for a late-afternoon Subway sandwich. A guy rolled up just as I was stepping out of the car and said, "Hey man, you just made my day!" We had a pleasant conversation about the car for about 20 seconds then parted ways.

It's a great feeling to see other people enjoy this car. I ought to know - I cannot help but crane my neck at every fifth Gen. that goes by.

I get compliment almost anywhere I seem to drive this thing. I had to drop my father off at the chevy dealership and as soon as I pulled up every salesman was like woah, that thing sounds bad ass! And woah that color is awesome! It was pretty cool getting compliments from GM guys.
