Borla 140280 "s" type catback worth it?

I'm pondering on hitting the buy now button and was just wondering if its worth the $1100 investment. I just bought a 2011 2SS/RS 6M. Any thoughts, comments or concerns?

Thx in advance guys!

If you're planning future mods, yes. If you're just looking for noise, yes. Performance wise, it won't be much, but you'll enjoy the added sound and feel. But with future mods, e.g. LT's and CAI, it's a great beginning.

I have the 140281, the milder "Touring" Borla cat-back. The S-type is much more aggressive (search on Youtube for some clips). It's an easy install, weighs much less, and gets rid of those huge R2D2 mufflers.

Best, Padre

I have the ATAK models and they rock, but are louder than most people want. I personally love the sound of any of the Borlas over other models. But Corsa and many of the other manufacturers sound good. I just prefer the exhaust note of the Borla. You will not be disappointed with Borla, they are well made and come with 1 million mile warranty.

I have the 'S' Borla axleback and like the sound. Much improved over the factory mufflers. ( lot lighter also)

I am running headers and hi-flow cats with mine so our systems will be different from each other but as far as the Borla piece of my puzzle goes,I am extremely happy with their product.
Quality seems really good and installation seems straight foreword.
Go ahead and hit that "buy" button! lol

I installed the Borla "S" Type Axle-Back Mufflers. Not only do they sound great, I saved 21.2 lbs over the stock cans. That's a lot of extra weight hanging out over the rear axle.

The ATAK is impressive, I think this clip sold me.

I think the ATAK sounds great but I'm stationed on a military post and I think it might be a little too much. I need to avoid the MP's as much as possible, LOL

@ huntrik .... although those MPs will hear ya, they won't be able to catch ya!...well unless the are firing at ya! *grin* .... My son is in the Marines, he can hit a Mustang at 1000 yards, but will not lay-down fire at a Camaro!

The S-Type is a great middle of the road system. Much more aggressive than stock but not obnoxious. Be sure to hit me up before you hit that "buy now" button.
