"Honey, do I look fat in this dress?"

There has been a ton of criticism about the new Z/28's tail lights and rear fascia. Some say it looks like an Acura. Others don't like the tail lights; they didn't do it for me at first glance but they are similarly shaped to the 69 taillight bezel though without the three distinct sections. And while Chevy stated they tried to make the front fascia look more aggressive and have a wider stance the photos of the rear fascia have an opposite effect; it looks more narrow than before and more docile ... perhaps like a Japanese car.

Or does it?

I found a couple photos of the rear fascia and cropped them on the iPad iPhoto app. Have a look. The straight-on rear view and the dark red color seem to better show the bulging rear quarters and pronounced stance of the Camaro we expect. Perhaps in certain angles and colors the rear looks tame but maybe in the physical world it'll look different. Only those who, have seen it live can say for sure.

...Looks just like the tail-lights and rear end of a 2014 Camaro to me...

....I'm not concerned with what Honda has on it....

For the life of me, I just don't understand how anyone thinks or feels like the 2014 taillights look like the 1st gen Camaro's.

Its ugly, plain and simple, sorry GM, I think you drop the ball on the rear end of this car.

All I know for sure is this a LOT of people will learn to hate those taillights, since that's all they're gonna see of this car -- and not for long...

I actually really like the second picture. It looks solid. Maybe with some black between the taillights. But this view is much better than the other.

From the back, it looks like there are not definitive lines on the vertical to create the LS7 blackout like on the '13's.

I don't mind these tail lights. They will grow on you over time especially because the rest of the car is so awesome
