I average 22mpg city alone. Try the fuse pull. Or maybe a tank of 89.

I am averaging 16-17 in city with 91 from Chevron. This normal with winter blend in California?

Reset battery 5 minutes today.

Thats terrible for me I guess, I am at 1500 feet elevation though; if that has any impact on how she runs.

You sure about that? I love the sound of mine, so my driving style sure did change after I installed it.

And not in a mpg-friendly way, either.

agreed, I can't get a serious mpg cause I can't go a whole tank WITHOUT stepping on it to Hear the goodness... Worst mod ever(for foot control)!

Luckily I live in a unpopulated rural part of the state and most of my driving is highway. City is a killer on MPG I have seen other threads on this same problem and it seems like people that do mostly city are in the teens for MPG. This time of the year is a killer on MPG for me and I am getting around 18 or 19 MPG but summertime as much as I crack the whip I can manage to get 28 MPG average.

I tried a tank last summer where I said I was going to baby it the whole tank to see if I could actually break the 30 MPG barrier but just couldn't manage it and ended up with a 26 or 27 MPG tank instead. I added the Solo HFC's a year ago and just love the sound of the exhaust and it is hard to keep the foot off the go pedal. I have been as high as 29.2 and have only had a couple tank in the 29 range. I need to make a longer road trip then I might make it.

Dean.

First of all disconnect the battery for a solid 30 minutes or longer, overnight may be best. There is a good chance that 5 minutes is not resetting your fuel trims, hence why we instruct you disconnect it during the install.

Secondly, anytime you reset your mpg calculator you are going to get much worse mpg due to the simple fact it has averaged your driving over a much shorter amount of driving history. The longer you drive the better it should get.

Third, winter blend gas could be an issue, very common and you don't have to live in a colder state to be affected by it.

Reset it properly, drive it like normal, and record the mpg for a longer period of time, most likely you will see a much better response. Also check your tire pressure. Hope that helps.
