Questions before Maggie install.

November 15th my car is scheduled to go in for upgraded heads and TVS 2300 install. I have a couple of questions .
I see alot of the supercharger builds use a 160 degree thermostat. In my quote, they are not calling for a different thermostat. Should I specify I want one or just keep the stock one?
Also,I have a CAI intake installed. Is this compatible with the Maggie or does it need to be changed out? (If it does,I have no problem with that as it is easily saleable).
Thanks for the help.

I would recommend to ask the shop that is doing the install about the thermostat. With the stock kit & stock boost, we recommend keeping the stock thermostat but the heads may change that.

Also, what type of CAI do you have? I have a rotofab on my 6.0L and was able to modify the intake tube to work with the magnacharger.

You need a good FI configured oil separating can as well.

My suggestion is to talk to the shop doing the installation...
They should be able to fill you in on any other recomendations, but a oil catch can is always a good idea, IMO.

We ussually throw in the 160 t-stat and NGK TR6 plugs. Mag recommends stock plugs but we have seen alot of problems running stock plugs on FI.

Stock plugs are recommended for 6lb boost applications, also they are needed for the EO certification/emissions.

If it isnt a stock setup blower, then the advise should be that of the tuner/installer

We ALWAYS run a 160* t-stat, and NGKTR6, gapped at .035". We have an LS3 Camaro in the shop right now that has the base kit, and 4 out of 5 times on the dyno, it knocked, and pulled timing. We switched to TR6's, and we made the best power, with 0 knock retard.

"secondary fuel pump"? Is this a dual pump, BaP or something else?

The LS engines run better in the 180-190 range. I would ask for a thermostat in theat range and the tune to match it.
