Ebay $15 Oil Catch Can

2012 v6 vert 45th anniversary edition

Will the haters please sit down and shut up... some of us can't afford 50 to 150 dollars CAN's. Thank you in advance!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-RE...47964f&vxp=mtr

The can is NOT baffled, Gravity will drop the solids to the bottom of the can. I took it apart and looked in it. Came with everything I needed and it fit right on.

I do understand the technology of the better can but for those who can't afford them, this is an acceptable alternative.

All in all I feel it was a GREAT investment and am extremely happy with it...

LOW PRICES

there are some parts that at low price realy wount matter in the big picture of your camaro, but again when it cames to the health of the motor ,trany, diff.,ect, never use parts that have not been tested and are good to use. the catch can is one of those parts , the money you saved on the catch can will cost $$$$$$$$$$ in the health of your motor. peace

Hey... I am in the market for an oil catch can, but kinda weary of dropping that $100+ bucks myself. I understand you can't skimp on some things, but I would like to see pics and hear how you installed yours. Would also like to know the difference in this can and the other recommended cans on this site...

Hmm may buy one of these. Thanks for the eBay link buddy! I'm sure this eBay one is better then having no catch can.

While solids may be a problem, it's not the worst problem. The worst problem would be oil vapors from the PCV system that collect on the back of the intake valve. Over time, this will cause a crust of carbon like build up because Direct Injected engines do not have fuel vapor washing the valves down.

A can without the PROPER baffles in it will do NOTHING to prevent this oil mist from traveling into the combustion chamber.

This can is a complete waste of time and should NOT be used with a DI engine. It can only give someone a false sense of security.

This is not "hate" mail. It's merely the truth from someone that has absolutely nothing to do with any catch can manufacturer. I do however have a properly made catch can on my wife's 2012 V6 that I installed at the time of her first oil change.

I have a generic one that catches oil vapors, so I know it works. You don't need to spend a ton on a namebrand.
