Cop Encounter

A couple of weeks ago I was driving at an excesive speed here in XXXXXXXX. 78 in a 55; don't get mad, the average speed on the road is closer to 70. A motorcycle officer pulled me over and was very friendly - a nice change from days of my youth! Anyway, he first reduced the ticket to 74 so it wasn't "Reckless Driving."

As we were talking he got a call on his radio, something that ended like "that car is hot!"

Now here's the kicker: after I signed the ticket he scratched it out and said "Forget it. I'm going to let you go with a warning. Enjoy your new Camaro."

I've never had that happen to me before! I thought once they started writing it it was a done deal. But I'd actually signed the thing!

As I was drving away I got an inkling what it must feel like to be an attractive, large-breasted young woman.

i think it has to go through a system first, i don't think written tickets are run through immediatly...my old boss got pulled over once, and she signed it and everything, and he didnt take the copy, so she never paid it because he coldn't process it through...lucky break man, enjoy your ride

I got stopped here in Pasadena,California on my way to work early one morning by a female officer. She said I was speeding. Yes I was. She also said to be careful because I do not want to crash that beautiful new Camaro and let me off with a warning.

My boss said she just wanted to get my number..........

It just goes to show ya........if you respect the officer, he will respect you. For if you would have given him any greif, this thread would have been a LOT different.

Nice, real nice......but you are right about one thing, IF you were 1. a woman, 2. a hottie, and 3. driving a new CAMARO....well there ya go..... the TRI-FECTA!! lol

You are lucky! I've only been pulled over once, and to my bad luck it was a traffic officer so I knew I was getting the ticket regardless.

I dunno about that...he says almost everyone speeds, average MPH 70, yet the cop chose the Camaro...

I drive a bumble bee, and sometimes think it's like driving a car with a big neon sign saying "watch me like a hawk" to the law enfarcement here.

I guess we can't fly below the radar huh?
