Comp Thumper cam?

Anyone have an audio clip of Comp's Thumper cam part #54-600-11 with long tubes and full 3" exhaust?

That's what my father in-law is always talking about for his '07 Shelby GT. I didn't know they had Thumpers for Camaros.

I used to have an 07 Shelby GT! The cams don't add much power on them though.

Yeah I can tell by the specs! Those SGTs are actually pretty fun to drive for some reason.

My mechanic wants to install a custom grind comp 275/295, 213/233 @.50" push rods and beehive springs. I think lobe separation 109 degrees. Not too concerned about big power gains. Just looking for a healthy idle lope. I know that seems a little lame but my wife drives the car too. She is letting me get away with long tubes and 3" exhaust so I'm not pushing.

You can get away with more cam than that and still be perfectly driveable.

Lol keep it that way bud, that mechanic does not seem to know how to pick a cam. Ask him why a 109 LSA? Lol

My Vengeance stage 2 lopes pretty good, and there are no driveability problems.

You would be better off telling comp what you want and letting them spec it out. Your mechanic is suspect.

You gotta go to a 109 LSA to get the lope back on such a tiny cam!

I suspect a low idle too. I may be altering my choice. If I was confident my wife could parallel park with the nite fury I would sneak one in.
