Perfection!

The Camaro convertible could NOT have been done any better!
If I wanted a vert, Camaro is it! Great Job GM!

This seems to be a pathology that afflicts a few (not most) Camaro coupe owners. Since they have already purchased their cars, they feel threatened by Chevy's new offerings. They suffer from pangs of anxiety as they wonder if they should have waited to buy or when they think about the beating they'll take if they trade their current cars in.

That's why this minority is always so critical about the new stuff (convertible, ZL1, etc) coming down the pike.

It's sad really.

Thank you professor Denali for your diagnoses of that most troubling disease.

I actually agree with you. It is very common to strongly defend one's $35000 purchase even in the face of facts.

Though perhaps you should spend some time owning a Camaro before criticizing fellow forum members about how they 'feel' about their own cars. Just a thought.

But I still can't get over + 253 lbs in a car that's already a little too heavy to start with.
0-60 in 4.9 seconds? I don't think weight's a real issue with this or any 2SS Camaro.

Who else is in love with the strut tower brace? When the part number is available, that might be a good mod for the SS coupe owners (non supercharger).

I'm waiting (in)patiently for a ZL1 convertible and will be damn disappointed if they don't get around to producing one.

And, no, you won't catch me dumping on the Gen6 after having bought a $60K Gen5.

I also agree with others here, the rear "flat" quarter is one of my favorite parts of the car. I understand why there is less deck with convertible as there is all that mechanism and all to deal with. I don't think it looks any better, just different. There is no way the vert looks better than the coupe with the top up, it just looks so temporary. When that roof is down, it looks it's best without a doubt.

The only thing I think is better about the vert when the roof is up, is that the rear window goes down. It's a "true" hardtop in this respect, as in both windows go down. Of course it's not a hardtop, it's a soft top, but the rear window should go down in our coupes, if it was viable or possible.

I can't wait to see one in person!

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

Yeh...where the roofline meets the deck is a classic peice of architecture.

Why would those of us who already bought one, feel threatened by a new offering? We all knew they were going to bring a rag top out. As for me, I would love to get one, but the hit on trade-in is just too great, and our dealers in Phoenix are gougers as it is. (Obscene gouging) So, for the great rag top days--- bought a new motorcycle. Thousands less, tremendous mileage, and the ultimate convertible.
