Heated Seats with Remote Start
Are the heated seats supposed to come on when you use remote start? I thought I programmed this option but they do not come on. Do I need to take it in for repair?

Yea i noticed this also...I know the air comes on but don't feel heat in the seats. I have left them on while i turned off car and also have programmed what i think to be correct through the stereo system which says to heat seats on remote start. But still nothing. Maybe some help from someone?

I set them to come on with the remote start as well, and I thought they did not work because the indicator lights did not come on, but I'll have to test it again to see if they do in fact get warm without the light on.

Mine work.
I've found that if I don't turn the heated seats on before turning the car off, they won't be heating up when I get in the next time I use remote start. I don't know if this is correct or not, but I know for a fact if I have the seats on when I turn off the car, if I use remote start the next time I get in, the seats are warm. I believe there is already a thread on this |

Do you guys get the indicator lights when the seats heat up with the remote start? That could be a key piece in why people think they aren't working (no light, no work)
I just assumed they weren't on because the light was not lit, so I just hit the button. But they very well could have been on. The car wasn't warming up for that long, maybe a minute or two.

UPDATE....Just got back from dealer and heated seats only heat seat 20 degrees over outside temps per/chev tech advisors through GM
So i take it when seats are turned on as well as hot air just not enough to make a difference on your rear/behind/down low....atleast now i know... Also was told a way to tell was to turn them on through auto start let it run and then when inside car feal your back seats then compare them to your front seats and there will be a difference....Good Luck. |

Ok, I tested last night. Indicator lights do not light up, but seats do in fact get heated with the remote start when programmed to do so.

It's not the default setting. I had to change mine to come on with the remote start.
