Best thing to do for a header install - the night before, put some penetrating oil on the O2's. Then before taking anything apart, drive the car for at least 10 miles or so, get the exhaust good and hot. Jack the car up, put it on stands, run the engine again to make sure it hasn't cooled off. Then crack the O2's loose. Then work on the rest of the install. Every time I do that, they come right out. Running the engine seems to work better than a torch for me.

I definitely agree with using the penetrating oil
The other thing you can do that I did with mine, work them out little by little...loosen them up 1/4 turn, then tighten back in 1/4 turn, then back out 1/2 turn, and so on and so forth until they are out.

Make sure you have antiseize on the new ones. Make sure you don't get the antiseize on the element part of the sensor tho.

I had the same problem with mine. I did the penetrating oil and got it warmed up good before trying them. Three came out easy. The last one was crossthreaded.

I went ahead and removed the manifold and was able to get it out heating it with a torch. The threads were so wasted that I wound up getting a new one anyway. Really couldn't see putting it in my new headers.

I have to say that except for the O2 sensor, this was an easy swap. I've never had a set of headers go in as easy as mine did.

I feel your pain. If I had a buck for every time someone said to me "hmmm i've never seen that before" I'd be a rich dude.

My O2's all came out easy, guess I was a lucky one.

^^ Guess so...... I did every trick in the book, but looks like 3 out of 4 is par for the course. All came out ok except for the right rear sensor. Guess it's a trip to the my parts guy tomorrow.

What i did was grind threw the pipe and then grind the threaded part so that it will split with some force, then you need to clean the threads and install, had to do that for the passenger side, Front and rear O2's.

A route I will try if I ordered the wrong one. Question though, if for a bit I drove around without one would it be damaging to the engine? I know it would throw a code, but again would it be bad for my engine. It would be only till I ordered the exact one through my dealership if the one I ordered is incorrect.

Maybe you could try to claim it under warranty. Since it was cross threaded it could be considered a defect.
