Leave it to GM to make a early production car a bad thing. Wouldnt go around bragging that we have early productions, with all the quirks.

When I ordered the car I didn't know when I was going to get it, I didn't even know R6P existed let alone know that I was going to get one. I didn't order my car early so I could say "Look at me I had the first one out". I ordered my car early because I was excited as hell to own one, your comment is total BS to me. Russ |

R6P here. It's prestigious! And I've never had any of the above mentioned problems!

No cut off date was March 15th 2009 for early activity orders. Production started on the 17th so any order placed after that date was NOT considered early order. And just because you got early ordered didn't mean you got your car first or the vin number would be before regular production.Lots of early orders that were place Octber 15th, 2008 weren't even made and deliverd until August and late September of 2009. Thus really non early orders were made and delievered before people that ordered early. So some R6P codes appear on cars with vins in the late 20,000 series.
And as for what coolman said, boy is that a dumb comment. I've had no problems with my car at all and mine was made on April 17th, 2009 and was one of the first to hit the streets. Well 22,xxx miles later only issue I had was a blown speaker soooo don't speak about cars like the whole early orders all had problems. It was a few here that overhyped the problems they had and made it seem that alllll first cars where problemtic.

My car is a R6P Vin 18261 Delivered 7/1/09. The ONLY issue I have had was the A-pillar clips and the dealer fixed it in 5 minutes, other than that I have had no problems with mine. |
