Also, our SSs only come with A6 or M6 transmissions. If you swap it out with a TH400 transmission does that mean it's not an SS anymore?
well thats a tough one, i think the engine is the most important part. i see where you are coming from. and get what you are trying to say. but can we agree with one thing, you can not make a SS a Zl1 or a v6 a SS. no matter how much power you have.

...Really, it doesnt matter. Unless we go rip off that ss badge, we cant do shit about it. I dont think lazy pos's should have my tax dollars pay their bills, but it does.

I don't get angry when I see purposely mis-badged cars - I laugh. BUT--- I do think it's disrespectful to the cars they are trying to emulate. To me, it shows a lack of class, and it's about as humorous as seeing a fat chick in a mini skirt ( or a fat guy in a Speedo).

Right there with you haha, let people do their own thing. Be anal about YOUR car if you're going to be anal, not at a guy who just wants for himself; I doubt he really cares if he offended you - afterall it's his thing. [was that redundant enough ]

debadging is just part of life. I've seen roush on a honda civic, GT on an impala, and SS on a crown vic interceptor. People are going to buy a tag at autozone and put it on their car, because 9 out of 10 times no one is going to call them out on it.

That's what I usually do too...

Close to me there's a guy who drives an E60 "M5"... vents in the front fenders, quad exhaust system, oval mirrors, up to the interior mirror and all. Except when he accelerates, there's a "tiny" smell of diesel... (it's a 525d)

On the other hand, there used to be one of my neighours who owned an Opel Omega (Holden Commodore), 3ltr V6, who badged it as a 2.3d... That was fun getting away from Golf GTi's and the like at the lights
