Arrow New Brakepads And Rotors?

So I brought my car to a local shop to get my breaks checked and he told me there's 5% left on the front brakepads and 20% on the rear ones. He also told me my rotors are in no good shape either and I have to replace those also. My cars only has about 21k miles on it though. He told me to get the pads and rotors online because he doesn't want to sell them to me expensive. So should I get a second opinion from another shop? And also any websites can I order these from? For a good price of course.

I would, I work at a chevy dealer in the service dept and 21k is really low miles for ss brakes.

That's why I was shocked. I drive my SS hard though, and they have Brembos so that might be a reason. I'll take it to another shop in the morning.

Drive hard or brake hard? Take the wheels off and check the pads yourself. They will wear down faster than the rotors. If you have a decent amount of pad left, he's jerking your chain. Or do the brake change yourself. Swapping rotors and pads are pretty easy.

Drive hard, but sometimes brake hard too I guess but not that often. I usually downshift to slow down also.

I can see the pads being worn with that few miles if you use the brakes hard, but I would be skeptical of the rotors being shot. Get a second opinion.

I took it to another shop and they told me my rotors are fine and I just need to replace the pads. So relieved hahaha...I think I'm gonna go with Hawk pads.

I hated my SS rotors & stock pads, too much squealing...I sounded more like an NYC cabbie

Does anyone have any insight on a better brake pad then the stock s**t that came on the car? They are horrible and nothing worse than a gorgeous car squeling to a stop! I have the 2011 2SS and need some feedback on what people are buying...thanks
