Well I hope done of you went to Camaro5Fest III. There were cars all over the place that had these add ons that were not ZL1's and they all looked sweet. It's no different then adding any other mod. Just remember it's not your car to like it's theirs.

Mgaspari, you do it up man! I got a V6 too and I want ZL1 rims also. Others should lighten up... don't we mod to do what we think looks good? ZL1's look good...

Sorry to chime in but I can't help myself...modding ones car to either make it appear or perform a certain way is a personal preference and thier choice....I think it is a bit silly to swap badges but even so it is their decision so who cares?
Specifically related to swapping hoods/wheels/etc to make a car look like a zl1 is just a good idea IMO because the zl1s look bad ass. One thing is for sure If I could not afford a zl1 (which most of us can't) I would absolutely consider modding my ss to make it look the part |

While i do agree that mis-badgeing any car is complete BS, i was brought up to give others respect until they disrespect me. OP its your car and i wish you luck in finding the wheels that YOU want.

I personally think you can mod a car to appear or perform however you like to a certain extent. However, IMO slapping on a label like ZL1 is basically fraud. If you just modded the car to look exactly like a ZL1 but didn't put on the ZL1 logo...then I wouldn't see a problem with that. Do what you want though. It's a free country.
