I would suggest having the dealer check the heater core. There have been more than a few 2010's on here that have had to have their cores replaced....NOT a job you want to have done out of warranty.

When your in for an oil change, just ask them to check for any ECU updates.

Here's my question: Are there any common problems, covered by the initial warranty, that are lurking below the surface? Something that I may not notice now, but could end up causing me grief down the road?

I've had my Camaro for almost three years now (January), and have never had any problems with it that required me to have work done.
The car has run perfectly for me, I have 22,000 miles on it, and do have an extended warranty.

The only reasons I've had it in to the dealer are for oil changes and a scratch from a sun umbrella that I really can't blame Chevy for!

Thanks!
Mark
We treat each vehicle concern on a case by case basis and it is best to get a proper diagnosis from the dealership if you are currently experiencing any issues.

What if you are not??? That was not really his question , I think what he was getting at is can he take it in and see if everything is running perfect or about to have a problem with, Is there a way you can tell, Can you do a deep inspection and see if all is good? Or is it wait till it breaks and then get it fixed on his dime?

Don't see the point of having the dealer "check" anything. They know your warranty is about up as well and I'm sure anything you're asking about will be in "perfect working order" as far as they're concerned. Just look the car over REALLY good and check for anything that is actually wrong or failing.
Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I've been here for five years now. Was a high school chemistry teacher before this, but the pay in Florida sucks! Couldn't afford the Camaro until I came here.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone.
My idea was to see what common problems others have experienced, and see if I can proactively check for them. I think I'll just give the car a good wash and wax and check everything I can for any problems. No mechanical issues yet. Appreciate all the input!
