No question, its the new CTS. The rest are just plain janes.
Since the 09' G8 will be offered with a manuel tranny and bluetooth I would consider it aswell. |

I'd go with either the Pontiac G8 GT or the Chevy Malibu.

Of those listed I voted G35, but I would also recommend the CTS. What about the G8?

I would go with the BMW 3-series. Obviously, I'd encourage you to step up to the M3 for raw, unadulterated performance in addition to the classic BMW style, comfort, and luxury. There's plenty to love about the 3-series.
Now, GM has been stepping up the class and power. If you're willing to consider a BMW, you may want to consider the G8, which is compared to a 5-series in a recent Pontiac ad, or the CTS.

I've known 2 BMW techs. I wouldn't own one unless I had no qualms about spending big bucks when it needs service. Its just my opinion, but I would try the Cadillac.

G35 sedan or the IS.
BMW's are nice but $$$ to repair, The kompressor has no back seat room, The acura is my favorite looks wise, but they have had problems with it. Probably the least expensive though |

Count another towards a new Cadillac CTS. I would consider getting one but of course, for me personally, I would get the new Camaro. But you didn't ask what I wanted, soooo.....

I fully recomend the new G35x, love that car and its peppy, and somewhat faster than the CTS
P.S. notice how Funny the GM lovers trying to get people to buy american cars lol, GM, Chrysler, and Ford just cant offer somethings (GET OVER IT) like the others, i'm sure the in-laws consider the CTS already Assuming Mrs. Tag's dad is middle age, what middle man would'nt want a caddy, bet you 8/10 that he get a CTS

Well, neither one of them orginally wanted the CTS because they looked at is as an 'old person car.' I told them I understood where they were coming from but IMO the larger models came off as older people cars versus the sporty, agressive, luxurious CTS....and that GM was tring to get away from that old image. I also explained that my Dad owns a newer model CTS.
My in laws want an upper class, higher end, luxurious 4 door that has plenty of room, isn't costly to repair (if need be), and has all the little goodies (bluetooth, nav, etc) if they want. I explained that the majority of these foreign cars WILL cost more to repair than other models (CTS)...I also explained gas cost and mpg's (type of fuel). Heck, I explained a lot. But, we did go to the Caddy dealership yesterday and they got to see a VERY nice Caddy. I think they are serously considering it now. But, first, we have to see if Acura can FINALLY fix all the squeaks and rattles w/ their current TL. They have had so many issues w/ minor squeaks, rattles, and little things, that they are ready to get rid of it. |

I voted other, at first I was thinking CTS-V. Then you said they thought Cadillac was an old person brand so now I am thinking G8 GT! Someone else already said it, got to keep it GM.
