CAM OPTIONS FOR L99 PLUS GOOD TUNING PLACES IN MD - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So i am about ready to get a cam for my L99 and i have looked around alot and the one i have liked the most so far is the G6X3 but i would have to do a LS3 conversion. I was wondering what you guys think and do you know of any good places to get it tuned and installed at? Any better ideas for a cam? I dont know too much about cams ive done some research about them and i know its gonna cost alot for getting to valve springs,retainers,push rods, lifters etc. Does anyone know the best place to go to in MD to get this stuff installed? Sorta new to the forums here but i love camaros!!

A good shop that is close to you is T&T Performance in Frederick. Tim is a great guy and he should be able to hook you up.

As for cams, I heard good things about the G6X3 cams and if you going to do the conversion, thats a good cam choice.

I know Texas Speed has good VVT cams they dyno'd and made in-house with big gains.

But if you got your goals set on what ya want, they can hook you up.

I sent my car to Livernois for LS3 conversion and their 2C cam, couldn't be happier.

I also hear great things about T&t, but haven't had any work done there yet.

We also do cams and tuning..if you are interested, give us a call. Our shop car is a 700 rwhp superchargered 2010 with a LPE 417 in it

Yeah the guys at Maryland speed do great work. Fast clean and 100% reliable work.

Maryland Performance and T&T partner on alot of things.. so i would say either one of those guys. I'm Partial to Maryland Performance because George and his Son are the ones who did my head work, and Tuning.. but i'm sure T&T is good too.. I've ordered from Maryland Speed only so can't speak to their work.. all good options though.. George from Maryland Performance is a great guy very knowledgable.. and so his son (who actually build the motors there) are top notch.

thanks for the feedback yea im going to check prices on all three of them. i actually did talk to maryland performance twice and they never got back to me so i sorta crossed them off my list, they didnt seem like they really cared.
