Looks like a copy of the Edlebrock unit. Nice to see GM pushing superchargers..too bad they are 110% against working with any warranty issues on their cars. Curious to see what is offered warranty wise when a dealer installs the unit. Best part is,if GM lets a warranty stand with their unit, then the aftermarket guys have a case now, and can push for warranty coverage. The future will tell all.

The "Problem" is I have the entire ZR1 engine bay (Blower / valve Covers + Coils / Radiator / Intake / Starter / Alternator / Pulleys / All accessories) that would make any LS3 car "Look" like a LS9-swapped car and I don't have a LS3 Vette :(

I *Might* toss it on a LS3-based 419ci motor and see if it will get to 700rwhp before the intake temps cross 200 degrees

Ted,

If you start stocking those, I'm driving from Arizona to your shop and I'll start handing your tech the wrenchs to work on my car...

I'm guessing GM will provide a tune and a waranty with this.
If the dealer will put it on my L99, properly tune it , and give me my 5 year / 100,000 warantee with it, I'm buying it !

Actually the edelbrock looks like a copy of the LS9 unit, or they are one in the same. The LS9 and LSA came out first.

At 16-17psi with 1 7/8" headers and ported snout that blower on a ZR1 makes 627rwhp on my dyno. The owner complained about the stupid high intake-temps when driving it harder on the street but its one and only trip down the 1/4-mile it still ran a 10.3 @ 139

Ya, but they must have a pulley and a tune to run 6 psi for the LS3/L99 so they don't run too hot or blow up.

The L99 heads are the same so I imagine it should work physically. I don't know what they'd do about the AFM, but it should otherwise bolt-on to my understanding.

LS9 has been in validation before Edelbrock Edelbrock still has runner length going for it though. I wonder how much talled the Edelbrock system is.

How many psi are you pushing to get that hot?

Do you think the temps' could be controlled by a larger heat exchanger or anything? Also - what do you consider the limit of the LS9 long block, power-wise?

I wonder they'll use the pulley/balancer to control the speed

Guys we are looking into a way to support this supercharger with the necessary ancillary parts to work on your cars. In my estimate, the cost savings from a Magna Charger kit will be negligible. They are selling the intake up, leaving the rest of the fitment issues to the end user. Note: these are NOT Emissions Compliant as a stand alone kit. Stand by, as I do the research I will let you all know.
