[QUOTE=CamaroTrent;2597348]Im a 21 year old college student and Ive had my 2011 Camaro SS (L99) for about a month now, my buddy has had his Challenger SRT8 for about 6 months. We have already took both out to the track already and the Camaro is cleaarly the faster and the cheaper of the two, my only concern is is that i believe the Challenger is much more luxery. Did i make the right decision? I would love to hear what anybody has to say about the pros and cons of the two.QUOTE]

I always try to be nice on these threads, but

You obviously made the right choice for you, and that's all that matters!!

I checked into a challenger while I was waiting on my camaro to get built. A local dealer wanted 47k for the SRT8 and an additional 3k for market value appreciation.
My checking was done. You made the right choice, mod the difference in price and what a machine you will have.

If you want an Old School Muscle Car look go SRT8 Challenger but the tears are already flowing if you bought a 2008-2010 because the 2011 Challenger SRT8's are 392 cubic inches and 475 horsepower !!! The CamaroSS is a better all around car & better bang for buck

I compared the two before my purchase and i was not impressed at all with the feel of the challenger or the interior, plus for the price difference it just made my choice even clearer to me. Compare a 2ss to a srt an the only "better" option in the dodge imo that youll see is the navi. Camaro definitely the right choice

You bought a 1SS and you wanted luxury?

1SS is all about getting an SS (bad ass fast car) without paying extra money for luxury.

Drove an SRT-8 ($49k) while looking at Camaro's in the Spring of '09. Back then, there weren't any Camaro's to test drive so most of us got our cars without even a test drive, can't say I've EVER done that before.

SRT-8 interior was bigger, roomier, NAV was nice, better radio. They come standard with automatic (unlike Camaro whereas Manual is standard option) transmission. Shifting was easy and smooth. One nice ride.

My loaded 2SS/RS w/o GFX was $36k OTD. I couldn't see the extra $13k, and the SRT-8 only gets 13/17 MPG compared to my average daily driving of almost 21 MPG.

It's all what YOU want. It's your car, your payment.

We'll tell ya all day long you made the right choice because 98% of us already own the sickest, sexiest beast on wheels that money can buy. A hot ass screaming CAMARO.. Lori

P.S. I hate Mustangs so please no for comments
If you have to ask and are that insecure, you should have bought a Mustang.

If you plan on going boating then the challenger is perfect... trade you car in now!

PS Camaro > Mustang > Challenger
