Save a little dough on Michelin Super Sports

Easily regarded as the best tire you can run on the street, especially with heavy cars like ours. I used Tire buyer.com so free shipping. Here's the deal:

Staggered setup:
285/35/20 fronts
315/35/20 rears

Total - $1,572.34
Link through Mr.Rebates and save 4% = $1509.45
Use code "retailmenot12" and save 12% = $1,328.31
I used my Discover Card additional 2% rebate = $1,301.75
Michelin has a $70 rebate through the end of May = $1,231.71

Saved almost $341 off a set and getting Michelin tires for less than GY money.

That is a great buy. I have been auto cross racing my ZL1 and have worn the tires down a bit. This is the best deal I have seen. Do you know what the treadwear rating is on these? Just trying to figure out if they are the same softness as the GY. Thanks for posting!

Anyone have info on how well the car tracks with these tires over the stock GYs? Better, worse, the same?

I have heard people here that have changed to SS say everything is an improvement...especially cold traction.

HOLY $H!T! That's an awesome deal! I paid around $1800 for mine through Tire Rack. You surely won't be dissappointed. I haven't tracked mine so i couldn't answer the other guys question, but it stands to reason that if the tire provides all around better traction, then it should perform better on a track.

I thought the Discount Tire rebate was good everywhere. Read the Michelin website too fast.

285 and 315 seems like a big stagger? Why not go with the 295 front and 315 rear PSS?
