Question Shaky A6 Shift Lever

Does anyone else have problem with their A6 shift lever shaking at times? Mine seems to shake, but i'm not sure if this is somewhat normal.

Can someone tell me why so many Domestic owners hate Imports? Esp Japanese?

Is it doing it when the car drops into 4 cyclinder mode? I can tell immediately when the AFM kicks in when holding the shifter while driving.

Mine does it too, but it doesn't seem to be causing any problems. I think it's all the time, not just when the AFM comes on. I'll take a closer look today.

I think unless it feels like it's going to fall off in your hand it's normal.

Why do all the sticks quiver in the girl driver's hands?

...okay, I could've worded that better.

I've noticed this from Day 1... Never had it happen in any other cars though...

Anything new here?

Im pretty sure its because there is still a hole in the body in that spot for the manuals and has to do with body flex and the way the shifters is mounted. Nothing major to worry about.

In the older gens the autos didnt have a hole there and the shifter bolted directly to the body.

Mine does the same. Seems to do it more going over bumps or RR tracks.

There was another thread some time ago that discussed the same issue and came to the conclusion that it was normal.
