This is a nightmare!

Wow... I definitely do NOT recommend trying this ABL crap!!!!! Very tedius, very annoying and very "un-perfect"... here's some preliminary pics... I've got a lot of tweaking to do tomorrow in the day light, but so far, I'm NOT happy with the results...

Pics are deceiving...

Theres a monserous gap on the driver side trim (even though I did try the "sanding" methond...

the passenger side is brite on the ends and dim in the center

bar is a PITA to hold up/in place under the trim...

what you need to do is talk to jeremy or mike they can give you some tips...extreme was voted in texas as audio retailer of year inthe us..and jeremy fell from #1 audio installer in the us to somewhere in the top 12...only #1 gets to know

Is that a recomendation or an advertisement? lol!

I'm communicating with Tagurit and 2ssrs (Ofer) who originated the mod... everyone says it doesn't look perfect in the day light, so maybe I'm just being too anal about this? Dunno if this was such a good idea now...

looks good, hard to tell with a camera...seems like the ends are really bright , but that could be the picture..just because they originated the mod , does not mean they know there sh#t..pfiser invented viagra for heart attacks, then realized that people were getting erections and changed it for penis disfunction.. so it is a recomendation to talk to guys who have been building award winning led, background lighting/audio/video.. in there award winning vehicles and builds.. almost there entire life..they might know a little more ...but thats up to you .. if i had a chance to get some info from a guy who was picked from 1000,s of custom led/audio installers over 52 states...as the best ..or from .Tagurit and 2ssrs (Oferr ...guess who i am picking.... was a not aware if you knew how good jeremy really was...

Your bro-mance is truely impressive, lmao!

Just kiddin'

You should know me by now- I'm a fan of doing things myself or with others before paying someone to do it. And not saying that they would even charge for the info/help, but it doesn't do me much good on a Friday night mod, lol! And like I said, it means more to me to do it on my own than have a professional help...

Doug and Ofer have been great and with instantaneous responses- you have a completely valid point that just because they created it, doesn't make them the expert... there's a million different versions of this floating around, but they do seem to be involved in each and every thread I've read on the topic over the past few months, and Ofer manufactures the harnesses by hand, so I'm pretty confident in their expertise. Besides, I have yet to see a Camaro with this done in person, so I'm confident in their tried and proven advise. -look at the dude who did my convetible top- he's been in buisness for 20+ years and handles some beautiful exotic cars... but he'd never done a 2011 Camaro top, and he screwed it up, now GM is replacing the top again because he wasn't familiar with this particular install...

Etreme is great, and I'd promote them any chance I get... but for this one, I'm gonna stick with the guys on the forum!

(P.S.- I did vote for Jeremy and Extreme in that contest, btw )

...bro-mance

Back on topic- it's not the pic- the ends are blindingly brite... gonna try some semi-transparent tape over the LEDs tomorrow to tone that down (the light tube is a solid plastic, so it's significantly dimmer than the LED, causing that effect...) likewise, I just received a good piece of advise for holding the tube in place... almost tempted to run to Wal-Mart now and see if I can make this work tonight...

thanks buddy, I appreciat it...i've got 2 things I'm gonna try sfter Domi's cheer today- #1 is simply taping the ends with a semi-transparent tape. If that doesn't work, I'll try putting a light "scuff" with a fine grit sandpaper on the clear tubing that's holding the bar to the LED... if neither of those work, I'll be asking for that cll, lol!

thanks again!

Got the door panel extentions to do once I get this figured out!

Seth- pix???

Here's the final outcome on the ABL... what a PITA! I could probably do it (error free) now, in about 3 hours, opposed to the 2 full days it originally took me...snapped the door ABL tube also... minimal effect when properly reassembled. Cost of trying things on your own...

I used the "non-drill/sand" method, although I did try sanding the driver side, which didn't help... so I guess it's a hybrid. There's a huge gap on the D side that I hate, and the passenger side dims a bit in the center, while the ends with the LED's are monumentally brite....I'm sure I'll twek it a bit over the next few weeks. Extended the door ABL by simply removing and sanding the factory overspray off the pannel...

It's obnoxiouoslty brite at night... reflects off the windshield and trim... looks cool though, I'm sure I'll get used to it

Sorry the pix are out of focus, my camera was freaking out without the flash on....
