I would think coming down from Edmonton you would want to refuel either at Red Deer (lots of places right where everyone will meet) or at Rocky, this way you will avoid being bent over at the xing.

Edmonton to Jasper via Rockey Mtn House is 560 k/m and with tires spinning about 600 k/m. So fill up at Rocky Mtn House which is 225 k/m from Edmonton.

Another thing for the check lists, cooler and pops having to go and find a liquor store in Jasper can cost you lots. We've had a few parties in the rooms so if you know you like some tasty beverages at the end of a cruise it's not a bad idea
