Exhaust Upgrade for 2SS
Gents,
I was wondering, when I ordered my IOM 2SS, the dealer had an option to upgrade the exhaust. Then when I asked about it they didn't have a lot to tell me. They said the, "Hmmm, well.....let me try and find out some more on it." Then that was it. Have yet to hear anything else about it. I don't care really....my car is ordered. That's all I care about. However, here are my two questions: 1) How does the 2SS "sound" at start up, and on the road? Is it mean? 2) Do you all know anything about an exhaust upgrade? And if so, what's the sound difference between stock 2SS sound... versus upgraded exhaust 2SS sound? As always thanks for the help.

At the unveiling I was at a couple of weeks ago I asked them
to start the V6 and V8. I was a little bummed that the V8 did not sound beefy. I just want a little more sound, so I will modify a bit Ordered: SS/RS Silver Ice Metallic||black leather||sunroof |

the exhaust option he has is the GMPP performance Cat Back system.... If you look for the SEMA cars the LS7 Camaro has the GMPP exhaust on it.

At the reveal, I was able to sit in the Richmond, VA. pace car (2SS), crank it up and rev it. I was disappointed. Could hardly hear it until I revved it up to around 4000 rpms. I'm sure GM was restricted to how loud they could let it go but those mufflers are coming off a day or 2 after I pick mine up. I figure the exhaust piping is already engineered for performance so I'm just doing an axle back upgrade (aftermarket mufflers) more for the roaring sound.

I am doing the GMPP CAI and the CatBack GMMP Exhaust. Both are on order and will get them in the next 3-4 months.
Digging some ditches and mowing some yards for cash for the upgrade. |

Going with Borla catback
Always have used Borla on my European cars and been really happy with them.
