I guess if we can't get a Camaro based Firehawk this is the next best thing. I love SLP!

my 10 ten year old ls1 runs 11s and still gets 18mpg with automatic and a stall

you just keep on thinking that v8s are nothing more than a gas hog

besides thats, i just dont understand why someone would want to buy a v6 and then make it faster when the v8 option is there and is 100+hp more with a waranty and is claimed to be above 20mpg. now if you say your getting the v6 because of the lower insurance, lower cost of the car, and you just like the looks and dont care for the power, then fine. but to buy a v6 with the purpose of making it faster is just confusing to me

Those reasons are why I am buying the v6 and the mods I will do will make my v6 faster maybe not v8 faster but faster. So the idea that v8 is the only option for fast is ludicious. Besides 18 mpg is garbage for the average comuter! Just because seine wants to modify there v6 doesn't make them a lesser camaro enthusiast. V8 isn't the be all end all

modding and LSX isn't going to give you 12mpg this site is just littered with clueless posts

my 383 LS1 camaro with 450rwhp got 27mpg on the highway generally got 22-23 mixed.

It is going to take some time for many people to break away from that old mind-set. 1st your statement about V6 camaro owners not careing about power is simply not true, If that were the case they would get V6 Mustang. The V6 cobination of Power/Fuel Economy/Price is unmatched by anything I can think of. Say for an example a 1LT/RS V6 add CAI/headers/exhaust and you easily have a 13 sec car that gets close to 30 mpg with an electronicaly limited top speed of 155 MPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is incredibly value for the everyday man. Gm finaly has learned from their mistakes and made the V6 a car worth driving, it sounds like a cheaper Infinity G37 coupe.

I wasn't saying the 12 mpg would be exact I used it as a number. Ps don't talk about clueless. You have no idea. I call your numbers on your ls1 bs!

Actually 6 is < than 8. Grade school math.
Don't get me wrong, I think that is 1 of the best engines GM has built recently and I wouldn't mind having a CTS with it, but the v8 tops it. The LS series is ahead of the pack when it comes to efficiency...

In any model lineup please tell me where the v6 is the top model over a v8.
