Brake Pads Replacement

Wanted to have a spare set of front brembo pads with me for track days. Chevy price is $199; list $249. Is this the price you guys are seeing?

Other sources?

Just found that the Chevy replacement pads are made in italy. I assume these are made by Brembo for Brembo.

Not sure of the Pads in my old Gen coupe but those wore real fast and I had problems with the rotors scoring

Lio, you've been mentioning that. I probably should. I assume that means more stopping power?

Interestingly, the Parts guy at my local dealer said today that not using the matched pads can produce undesired results like that. His suggestion was to wait until the standard pad are no longer manufactured then go to a third party. I assume this is a bit extreme but I really don't want noisy brakes nor brakes that etch the rotor and cause a rotor replacement. I've lived that world on my S4 when I put on AP Racing brakes. They'd stop on a dime. Insane. But they screeched so loudly people would make scowling looks when I parked downtown.

I love the wilwood the are two piece rotors. Slotted and drilled rotors. Braking is smooth no nothing crazy in street them when the braking is necessary u can feel that bite of the 6 piston brakes....

Perfect for everyday driving and for performance use. Plus the looks. And to top it off less brake dust

Kidding me right? You won't need brake pads for quite a while. Change to better brake fluid and or add some stainless lines. That will hold you for quite a while. The 6 piston front brake upgrade is an awesome mod, all be it pricy. Many on this forum use the CTS-V. But yeah 200 bucks for some front pads is about right.
