Well I am looking for a dealer in the Dallas/Frisco area won't void my warranty just for minor bolt ons. I have a check engine light after my JBA High flow cats and am thinking of getting long tubes with a tune but I dont want to lose the warranty for just tuning. Can any one help?

Try Classic Chevy in Grapevine.

Or Eldorado Motors in McKinney. Ask for Dan Woody.

They don't care about bolt ons but tuning can be a touchy subject. I think their parts manager is on here somewhere.

Eldorado in McKinney was good with my 2001 SS when I had a cam, longtubes, pulley and tune ..

I have a good working relationship with most dealerships in that area.We stock and sell many longtube headers and can get your tune were you want it.

+1 for Classic, they've worked on my car twice and never said anything about my bolt on exhaust. I know they know about it too because they drove the car a lot trying to get the clutch fixed, which they eventually did.

Anybody have any experience with Stonebriar Chevy? I just moved from McKinney to Frisco and they are literally 2 minutes from my apartment.

I have been to Stonebriar for oil change and a few minor things. They did a good job with no issues.

No matter what, once you tune it your powertrain warranty is gone. It is not up to the dealer. Now if you are just talking bolt-ons they have some leeway. Good luck.

Hey guys...let's keep the gold mine dealers under wraps. If you know of anyone who is "helpful," please PM the OP with the info. But let's not get any dealers in trouble.

WOW....that sucks. Can't believe they voided the warranty on that one because of the tune. Think I would have to scream a little more about that one. Probably waste of time though.

Of course at that point it's beyond Classic Chevy and is a GM issue.
