Speed Test Drive made me want a Vette

On speed's test drive last night they were testing the 11 Vette lineup (Z06, ZR1, and GS convertible) and I must say the look, the sound of exhaust, wow, it made me want a Vette! Yes, the design is geetting old, but man it looks nice when setup right, gave me chills when they were running them around the track.

Good for you. Do you have the means? If so go get one and check out the Corvette forums. Lots of tools over there who think their car is the best thing since sliced bread.

No means and I would still go for a pony/musclecar over the vette simply because they are more my style. i don't think the Vette is the best thing since sliced bread, I do think it is a great sports car they has the ability to look good after all these years. Besides the roads around here would tear one up lol.

I sold my 2007 to buy the Camaro. Best thing I ever did. Most corvette enthusiasts are jerks I found out. I love my Camaro and the following!

Vetted are nice, sure but they are cheap inside. Own one, you'll soon see once the curb appeal fades it's just a rattling go cart.

I sold my 2010 Camaro to buy a 08 Vette, Best thing I ever did. Some corvette enthusiasts are jerks like all car enthusiasts (at least half the forum isnt Mustang and Challenger owners). I love my Corvette and the following!

Cameros are nice, sure but they are slow fat pigs. Own one, you'll soon see once the permagrin fades it's just a enormous grocery getter.

Wow, this thread went south in a hurry. Ya Stew, vettes are a lot of fun. My only problem with vettes is the same problem I have with all the powerful sports cars. You can't really drive them without serious risk of jail time- if you can control yourself or have a track nearby- then cheers to you!

Dont get me wrong I am a fan of the 5th gen Camaro and will own another one when a SS drops sub 20k, its a great car but when the Camaro and Vette are the same price its a no brainer...................

Hell C6 ZO6s can be had for less than a 2SS now !!!!

I didnt know the GS was running 0-60 in the 3 second range. Last I heard was 4.1. Who ran the 0-60 test where it ran 3.8-9?

If I was in the market for a new 2 seater then I'd definitely go for the GS

Basicllay. I believe it has the same bpdy, brakes, suspension and even gets the magentic shocks for 11 (as does the Z06 and the ZR1 has always had them).
