Nice pics. Thanks! I really like the IBM as well...debated between that and black. If the IBM was darker, I'd have gone with it. I ordered black...besides, the wife really pushed for black. I thought someone had stated that the SS had true dual exhaust...it appears in the pics that the V6 has single exhaust that then splits to two tips. Am I thinking correctly? Please clarify this for me if someone can. Thanks.

Now that you mention it, looking at the photo, it does appear that the pipe on the right going from the muffler towards the engine does take a path over to and joins the left pipe on the left side of the crank shaft. I think I said that right....yeah. So the question then becomes, is this the same as the production V6 will be? I suspect it is and will be.

Good eye Doc!!

So Zebra, what does this x-pipe do exactly for the V6? More horses?

the same as it does for any engine - it evens out the back-pressure between the two sides & helps create more smooth, efficient flow of exhaust gases. according to the general "engine is an air pump" philosophy, it helps power because the faster you remove the air, the faster you can replace it.

Yes on this car there was a lot of space on the outside of the housing to the mirror, that is why I posted that picture. I saw a post that thought the mirror was out of position that caused this, but I checked it and it did appear to be alligned so the driver could see it correctly. I kinda hope this is different on the production car, but at this point I doubt it.

I was also a little suprised at the large amount of space above the tire to the fender well on the back as well.

I agree that certainly looks like true duals with the X pipe config in your pic. but the live pic of the IBM car on the first page just seems different from that point of view. I'm not yet convinced that the IBM car in that particual pic has true duals. I need to study it more though...

Now that I take another look. I could be talked into it I guess. Hard to tell from that angle in the IBM pic so we'll go with your pic.

Cool. ;-)

i can see where you're coming from. it does look like they could be coming together, but this chassis pic is probably older than that car & the pipes do come awfully close to each other in the middle.

You COULD line that with an LED tube... give the wing mirrors some turn signals

Thats a cool idea/concept.... but I don't think i will be doing that... that would be kind of like having neon glowing arrows pointing at a giant zit saying look i have detail thats kind ugly if you haven't all ready noticed...

Thanks Zebra and Edrock! I was hoping that the V6 and V8 were both true duals. I feel better now that the chassis pic was posted. Thanks again!!
