Heat out of vents around town.

Anyone getting heat trickle out of the vents around town when the AC is off and the dial is in the cold position, windows down?
Only seems to happen after the car is parked but takes a long time to go away.
Could the exhaust or engine be heating up the vent?
Anyone else notice this or is my door actuator linkage out of adjustment.

Happens on my Malibu every now and then, after a while it cools down though.

its like this on just about every car that i have been. Im assuming its from the heat build up under the hood while idling, and it takes a little while of driving for the air flow to cool everything. with out the Aircon, theres nothing to cool the air...so even if the dials on "cold" it will only be as cold as outside air, if even that cold, haha im sure you knew this, just saying

Similar thing is going on with my defrost. In the mornings I run just the vent in the cold position and I've noticed that my windshield fogs up if I don't have the a/c on.

Sounds totally normal to me. Turn the A/C on for a sec. blow the hot air out and then trun it off. Happens on everycar I ever drive, but only in the summer... hmmm thats odd...

Push the Recirculation button on the right knob, it's the one that has the arrows going in the circle. That should lower or eliminate the amount of air coming out of the vents when turned off. I do it all the time, I hate the hot air coming through.

Why can't you do it in the 4thgen? Is it a knob or button? It's been 4 years since I had mine, so I can't remember, haha.

The recirculation position (MAX) turns on the A/C in the 4th gens. There is no separate A/C button to press to turn the air on.

Umm... maybe for some odd reason it's different on the Camaro, but every vehicle i have ever been in, usually recirculate kicks the compressor (for the AC) in so you use AC anyways.
Just saying. Its the same as older vehicles' "MAX" setting.
