Window hits when openeing door?

I have a problem on my 2ss camaro passenger side door/window.

When i open the door the top of the window seems to slightly hit the top of the window frame.

It seems as if the window mechanism that lowers its position while opening is slightly lagging in time, because if the door open slowly the window hitting problem does not exist. My drivers door/window does not have this problem no matter how fast i try to open it the window does not hit.

Is it normal for the very top of the windows to nick the door frame while opening? Has anyone with this problem take in there car to have this issue fixed?

I've got the EXACT same issue on mine. I'll have the dealer look at it when I take it in for my first oil change (free for a year ) in about 500 miles.

Have you tried reprogramming the window?

The window just needs to be adjusted. It is not an index issue, it is a window retainer adjustment issue. Simply bring it into the dealer and it will be covered under warranty. They will remove the interior panel and access the screws which hold the window tight in its holder. Then they will slide the window farther down (1mm) and you should be good to go.

Do you know if a special tool is required? The guy at service said that it did.

Well went back to the dealer today. They checked it out and both windows were to factory specs in height measurements. The passenger side still hits, so my dealer ordered a new latch "pop" Take the car in on the first of June.

I have this same problem, the dealership reprogramed it once and I've done it atleast three other times..it STILL does it. Just another thing to bring up when I take her in for the tranny.

Mine has this problem as well but it isn't causing a problem so I wont let the dealer touch it.
