1SS or 2SS Which would you buy and why?
I want a Camaro and it must be a 6 speed manual with the LS3 V-8. Since this car is going to be play toy and not a daily driver is the 2SS option really worth it? All I really want from the 2ss package as a must have is the gauge cluster but I see that can easily be added.
It will never see winter so heated seats are not a must. I might Drag race it every once in a while and take the family to Dairy Queen on the weekends. I can afford both but like the cheaper price tag of the 1SS garage queen. Would I regret not getting the 2SS? Any Comments/suggestions to those who have the cars and the features? |

1SS, mainly because leather seats in the Texas heat = a no-no imo, but yeah you can add the gauge cluster later.

2SS gets you the awesome cluster and everyone loves it and I get a lot of compliments on it.
You also get leather, auto-dimming mirrors, USB, bluetooth, BA audio. But if you're only gonna drag it once in a while and take it around the corner on nice weekends, then maybe you should save a few bucks and opt for the 1SS.

well i ordered a 2ss/rs only because i wanted the 4 gauge pack.. untill i found a 1ss/rs on the lot ready to go.... and i found out you can just add the gauges later.
my 1ss/rs came with the upgraded sound system also so the only thing was missing was the gauges, so i added them btw my 1ss/rs was 31k |

I went the 1SS route because I didn't want leather seats. I added splash guards and the gauge cluster and that's it.

I also debated this before I ordered and decided that most of the time I just got by with base or mid models, so this time i was going to go for it. The leather, BA stereo, gauge pack, connectivity seemed like a good deal for the price and not to have to hassle adding these things later when I knew I'd rather spend the money on perf and cosmetic mods. 2SS works for me.

USB connectivity and the Bluetooth are priceless. And the Ambient Lighting is pretty damned cool too. The gauge cluster is KING, but you can retrofit that pretty easily...

The 2SS also includes the interior accent lighting, right?
I have a 2SS/RS. I always buy my stuff loaded, so that's why I bought a 2SS. Plus, the leather seats are so comfortable. |

We had 100+ degree temperatures in DFW for over 15 days. The leather was cooler than you would think. Still loving my leather.

If the only thing you like from the 2SS is the 4 pack gauges then get the 1SS. You can purchase the gauges for $325-400.
