In 1998 I bought a Ford Explorer Sport. Loaded, just came off lease. At that time it was the nicest thing I had ever owned. I was so proud of myself. I kept it absolutely immaculate. I had it through a marriage, a divorce, several in between relationships and when I met my current wife in 2006 it became her car. It was starting to look a little rough around the edges but she loved it. She "lifted" it with longer shackles and cranking up the torsion bars LOL. It was in 3 collisions and survived no worse for wear. After 285,000 miles and not replacing a damn thing except for a wheel bearing a muffler and the idler pulley (not counting consumables of course) she swerved to miss a deer and rolled it 5 times down a steep hill. She kicked out the window and walked away without a scratch. That was in 2012 to this day if you talk about that car too much she gets teary eyed. I miss it too.

Took some digging. You can see where a buddy KO'd the driver's door and I had to replace it. Good luck getting a match on that by the early 90's.

Wasn't worth the effort to worry about it more than "It's blue".

Truck had a 4-speed and locking front hubs. It was a mini-beast.
