1.39 is nuts. The super short first gear of the 6l80 makes me jealous sometimes. 1.4x is the limit of the power my car makes with the long 4l80 first gear

I do 1.39-1.40 most of the time, but your right its a steep gear in 1st and has taken allot if tuning work because it revs so fast it kept hitting rev limiter. I think its about right now, need some more testing. What are you running with that ride of yours?

what converter (stall rpm)...FTI billet?
I have a protorque 3200 from Ted which is essentially a rebuilt stocker and it isn't near enough converter.

Yes its a new FTI 9.5 inch billet which wa 3200 but sent it back and had them restahl it to 2800-3000 it was little more than I liked on street. Ted speaks highly of the converter you have.I think its easier to tune.

I was thinking about changing to your trans too. But if mine works well enough I will stick with it.

seems to work pretty good for you. If it isn't broke... keeping it simple is always good
