Will SS/RS have "induction" style hood and SS front bumper?
Will the SS with the RS appearance package still keep the "induction" style hood and SS front bumper?

V6 and V8 have different front ends. Those front ends are there to stay regardless of RS or not...
The RS package makes no changes to the bumper. Only adds HID/Halo Headlamps and badging to the grille. I wish they'd just release an SS/RS so people will stop asking this. (No offense intended, but it's being asked over and over and over. Just gets a little old answering the same question so many times.) |

Yes—the hood will have a cowl, the mail slot will still be there, and the fog lights will be further apart.

I don't think the cowl is functional, but I don't remember hearing anything one way or the other.

If you get and SS, and ass the RS package on, you still get the SS bumper. With the RS package, which can only be added to LT and SS models, gets you HID headlights, 20 inch rims painted in midnithgt silver, decklid spoiler with the LT(comes on the ss already) and darkened tailights, and of course the RS badges. If you buy the LT or LT@ with the RS package, you keep the v6 bumper, for the SS and SS2, you get the v8 bumper. Hoped that helped you out. Be sure to check out all the pics that our member have found or have taken of all the models including the RS and not including the RS.

The problem is that i prefer the bumper of the V6 but I want a V8 ... I was thinking that the V6 RS bumper was RS bumper but not... |

I do. The ideal bumper would be like the V6 with an added mailslot (like the early pre-pros).
Some people said that the V8 bumper looks more agressive. I beg to differ. If you look at the LA show pics with the black and silver camaros, the black one looks at least as agressive as the silver one (I have to admit that the black V6 bumper has an added lip, though). The 'cheeks' on the V8 bumper and the position of the fog lights just look awkward to me. Also, the angle, size and structure of the lower grille looks much better on the V6 IMHO. The angle of the left and right end of the lower V6 grille gives it a somewhat shark-like appearance which I like. Last edited by scorpio; 11-22-2008 at 05:39 PM. |

I like the look of the faux scoop, I just wish it were somehow functional.
