New "old" take on the Automatic Shifter
I wanted a retro look for the automatic shifter cuz frankly its kind of a retro looking car.
The guts are a stock automatic shifter. I used the CFD adapter and a B&M T handle. The rubber boot is just a local auto parts store replacement boot with a little trimming to fit under the stock console. The stock console shows my first attempt at hydro-dripping. The cupholder cover has a wireless Qi charger embedded to charge my cellphone. I love it, girlfriend hates it. Opinions? -D |

it's your car, but I hate that. Maybe if you changed all the other insides to retro materials.

I think the issue is generally, those rubber boots did not sit so high up on the old muscle car shifters. there was always a little more metal showing. try a smaller boot or put it down the stick further.
