LG G6X3 Question

How is the G6X3 cam without gears and heads getting out of the hole on a LS3? What rpm does the torque finally exceed a camaro with just boltons?

You'll get bolt-on torque levels at about 3000 RPM. I didn't pick up any time on my 60 ft (running stock tires), but I went from at 13.26 at 107 to a 12.61 at 114. Best trap speed was 116 vs a 107 with bolt ons.

Why would you wanna do the cam first? I would do the supporting mods first and then do a cam.

You don't need heads or gears, you need some headers and full exhaust with a tune.

If you do all the bolt ons, the FAST 102mm intake system, the G6X3 cam on a 112, have your stock heads ported and polished, and a tune, you're going to be clearing 480+ RWHP.

That's a VERY conservative guess

either that or you are talking about mustang dyno numbers. lol

On a dynojet I did 477/454 SAE with cam and ported (stock) intake manifold and throttle body.

500hp cam only ain't gonna happen. But G6X3 with ported heads, intake and throttle body combined with an UD pulley, plugs, T-stat and a good tuner will surely get you to the magic number.

There is a post from LG here where they got a cam only car(G6X3) here with 505 to the tires.

My car made 490 with the stock intake and 540 to the wheels with their stage 2 heads, fast 102 and tb. It can be done.

Totally.

LT's, full exhaust, CAI and the G6X3 with a good tune and 500 at the wheels on an LS3 isn't too hard.

I'll let Anthony hit up on this one since they've literally done dozens of LS3 G6X3's.

Sorry that's what I meant....I already have a Cai, LT's, and not cats. My car is my DD, so I want that "Magic number" and still have it be a reliable car... I'm putting 400 down right now... so I have a ways to go to hit that number....
