Tired of dropping $300-$400 for a tune

As I've modified my car over time, I've paid to tune my car time and again at a cost of $300-$400 per shot. I've paid close to $2K for tuning services to date. Since my Camaro is a toy and I'm always tweaking it, I'm thinking about buying the HP Tuner's tutorial from The Tuning School along with the software and doing it myself.

So, my question is has anyone bought the home course from The Tuning School, if so what is your impression? Is it worth the investment?

Wow the guy that does our tune will retune for free usually unless you add charger/turbos. Who does your tune?

Man that sucks. I think there are a lot of tuners that tune for life, (mine does). I'd have a serious discussion with that guy or find somebody else. Good luck.

I've made changes before each tune, but nothing substantial enough to justify them charging $300.

If you let Ted Jannetty Tune it and then buy your parts from him he will supply the tunes for the parts you added on for free. Ted's tunes are awesome!!

call the police

your tuner is screwing you in the butt without your consent!

The tuning school is alright. I read the e-book. I even have it printed out and in a binder somewhere in my house.

He must be talking about dyno tunes, and not e-mail tunes

All subsequent dyno tunes are free from my tuner and you can bet thhat all the other guys that commented about free retunes were refering to dyno tunes also.

I have to agree with danhr. Your tuner is taking a ride up your Hershey highway.

This is Precisely why I run the Program I run, buy your parts from me and tunes for those parts are FREE.

This Helps out the Hobbyist Immensely and give them more money for Parts.

Tuning Takes Years to learn even with Proper Training and you MUST have and engine building background and understand the dynamics of an engine before you start tuning cars.

Ted.
