Coilovers

Any fellow 1LE owners get a set of coilovers installed yet?

I so please let me know your thoughts and what coilovers you have.

Thanks!

so you don't think that everybody's ignoring you...i think the only person that's put coilovers on theirs so far was Lio Martinez (same username). you might wanna pm him if you haven't gotten any other responses. idk if he liked them or not

These cars only need coilovers if they are being seriously tracked.

After saying that I'd like to hear more on the subject.

Well I have tracked it multiple times already. Run it through the canyons every weekend etc. It's also not my daily driver so ride harshness isn't an issue.

Currently it has Hotchkis F/R Adjustable sways and endlinks, LG lowering springs, and the G:2 305/35 rears. Decent improvement over stock as far as turn in response, but it still feels a tad bit soft once you do have it thrown in a corner after the initial turn in.

Maybe talk to Pete from Pedders. Pedders has pretty good knowledge about tracking these cars. Once you start talking about coilovers it will just be a highly modded Camaro.
Kinda once you go that far you take away the suspension aspect of the package. It has a bunch of other improvements that make it worth while.

I would say start with Pete he's a straight up guy that can give you legit honest info. Then call Pfadt, then all the others and go from there.

Personally I won't track mine enough to justify the conversion to coilovers. I'm going to stick with Pedders though.

I put supercars on mine with about 700 miles on the clock . It was a no brainier for me , I can dial in my ride height were I want it,adjust rebound compression when ever I want for daily driving or track use. I also did the bigger rear sway sub frame insert bushings, frt.radius arm bushings and the adj. caster camber plates. To me the car rides how it should have come from gm all the slop is gone and it handles amazing .

Yea that's another thing, with the springs I'm not happy with the height, looks like a raked FWD Honda. Lol. I want to have the front and rear even.
