Painfull 1/4 times for a camaro owner

hello everyone, today I just saw a couple of youtube videos... and really saw some 1/4 mile times that I feel like a kick in the rear end... so I just had the idea to make this post...

the question for today is... have you ever saw a painfull camaro 1/4 time that you didn't think I could happened? (In real live or Internet Lol)

I left this video were you can see a Zl1 running @13's... in russia

'' in russia you need 1100 hp to run low 13 my friend... XD''

ohh BTW we all had at least one 1/4 mile that we want to forgot so self-related stories are also welcome

http://y2u.be/wrS9lWmXFcs <-- I'm the SS running the ZL1

http://y2u.be/M63ZjHp2DFM <--- Same thing

I want to make it clear that I'm not making fun of the ZL1. He had never been to the track before so he had a hard time launching it. We've all been there.

Additionally, I once raced at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Utah. The altitude KILLS N/A cars up there and I was running some awesome 14s all night *UGH*

first time on the track 12.65 @ 114....just small bolt ons.. LS3, I was actually happy with that time.... I thought for sure it would of been higher 12's. However, I have seen a ZL1 auto run 13.2...thought that was crappy for a 60 plus car.... IMO

ZL1 driver can't launch car properly. Those 60' times are horrible.
As a general rule, a .1 drop in 60' time means a .2 quicker ET.

Iv seen and personally ran some gawdy pass' for the 5th gen camaros. Iv ran as slow as 13.9 when I first started. Long ways away from where I started now though

The biggest culprit of running horrible times compared to what it should in my experience has been the 392 Challenger. Have yet to see one run a time anywhere near what it is capable of.

It's a standing mile. His car is probably geared for the mile...

I remember at our local quarter mile track a Camaro SS lined up against a corvette C6. Needless to say both of them ended up running high 14s. I would say painful for both of them

I remember going to the track for the first time in this car and not knowing what was going to work and what was for the tires I was running. One time I tried to leave hard off the converter even though I heated up my DR's pretty good. My 60' for that run was a 2.9 so you can imagine how slow I ran on that pass. If someone taped it and posted it on the internet and said "this is what all 5th gens run" he would have been wrong as I was just testing out the track and tires. I also remember running a best of 12.6 that night and thinking WTF? After I got home I looked up the DA and it was over 4000. So again you would have to know the whole situation like DA, experience, tires ect.
