My new differential arrives tomorrow so I'll be embarking on swapping it out. For those how have done this any gotcha's or other advice?

Its easy. Takes an hour once in the air. Dont shortcut, you may damage an axle seal. Unbolt the driveshaft and unbolt the hubs. Slide axles out and unbolt the diff and drop it down. Reverse it going back in.

Replace the half shaft seals.
Even if you don't touch them at all, when you disturb 7 year old seals like those, they won't work again. At least mine didn't. |

Taking the axles out of the hubs is maybe a 3 minute job for both sides. I fought one like that. It was faster just to pull the axles out for me since it only takes a few minutes beyond that point.
