Low speed clutch rattle
I'm not sure if it's the clutch or not but when going really slow, maybe 5mph then pressing the clutch, there is a metallic rattle coming from somewhere. I'm not sure when I will take it in but I will soon.

Could be a little clutch chatter.

I have the same thing on mine but it is pretty consistent and doesn't sound like anything is hurting.
Curious if this is normal. I think I remember my 5th gen doing the same thing. |

Yes I have noticed this but feels like more of a common situation with clutches and low speed disengagements. At least for me it is only when you depress the clutch.

Does anyone know if the flywheel is single mass or dual mass on the Gen 6? In the C4 (Vette) with the ZF tranny, a switch from a dual mass flywheel to a single mass flywheel would result in horrible chatter that sounded like your engine was literally falling apart when at idle and with the clutch engaged and in neutral. It could be the same but to a letter extent in the gen 6.

It's the throwout bearing. Perfectly normal.

I see GM is still putting junk clutches in the Camaro. Mine sounds like some one throwing a box of hammers down the stairs. Was told it's "normal". Have they at least fixed how jerky and temperamental it is?

I've driven several imports with MT as well as a couple offerings by Dodge and Ford and have never heard such a clunking rattling hot mess as I have in this Camaro. It's really the only thing I don't like about the car.
