New engine is blown, and so is the trans.....New Damage Pics
and I'm f*#king done!!
Was told today the the number 8 piston needs to be replaced and the trans is slipping bad in 1st gear. Don't know the extent of the trans damage yet because it was not opened up. Car was fantastic on the dyno. Struggled to make 4 passes last Friday. Got the stabilitrak and check engine light mid pass on run 4. Shut it down as fast as I could. Simply posting this as to many like to know what's going on. Well, here's exactly what's going on. This is the plug that was taken out. It still a ZR1 plug. Currently gathering my thoughts on what to do next. Last edited by Supercharged SS; 10-30-2013 at 01:39 PM. |

Take it easy on the NOS,and have fun with it.
It comes a time that 2 much HP and torque cost more $ than what it's worth. Theirs nothing wrong with a high 9-low 10 second car that you can drive anywhere. |

It's still with Nick over at ARH being used to prototype parts. Should be done in a couple more weeks. We had it for 2 days amd my dad was using it then. Quote:
You're probably right. Ever since the nitrous it's been eating plugs and breaking. |

Sorry to hear. :(
I'm in a similar boat: hung around in Indy to get in one last run so I could win an extra $100. Hit it hard and broke the diff, then come home to find my EWP is leaking. So that $100 will cost me $5000 for a DSS 9". I have the same question: build it stronger and better, only to go out, beat on it and break the next thing? It's not in my nature to not run hard, so it's a tough thought. Padre |
