Wheel locks?

Hey guys..

I was wondering if anyone here has wheel locks on their camaro? A friend of mine recently had his wheels stolen..he didnt have wheel locks..so now I'm a little scared...

I already have lojack and the dealer told me I should be fine without the locks since I have lojack. So what do you guys think? Should I throw the wheel locks on there? Or should I stop worrying because I have lojack like the dealer told me?

I'm using some Gorilla locks from Amazon. Can't find my receipt to show the part number, but I remember finding the size and part number on here by searching - Gorilla locks in the tire and wheel section.

Lojack isn't going to save your wheels from being stolen.

I would get wheel locks. I was thinking of also getting them. Let us know what type you got and where you got them.

These that you linked are the ones I should use? I have a 2lt with the RS package.

On a side note..my dealer wanted 130.00 for wheel locks..

I went with the System from Gorilla - http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Automo...8158073&sr=1-2 - all lugs are locks versus one lock per wheel. I've had these on since July 2009 with no issues.

A thief can defeat a single lug lock by taking a slightly oversized socket with a hammer to take off a locked lug. Having all lugs locked makes'em think twice about all the noise and need for 20 sockets to do the theft...

Yeah, I have wheel locks on mines. But wheels locks do not stop a thief from taking your wheels. You can take them off with a ratchet. Check it out on you tube...

Please look at a thread I created a few weeks ago regarding which Gorilla wheel locks are correct for OEM wheels. The info I received and posted in the thread is straight from Gorilla Automotive themselves (it took about a week to get a response from them).

I ended up getting part number 96643BC (black) - "System" Qty 20.
