I've had mine for over a year I believe and you know what, there really aren't too many downsides

1) The door won't open as wide any more, you lose about half of what it used to be able to open.

2) Sometimes the hinge makes a little noise. Totally normal though.

3) Passengers opening your car scare the hell out of you.
