If you do what CanadianCamaro said, you can add another long piece to the bottom. It'd give you another 2" in height. Personally if I needed to raise it 4" higher then I'd add two more 2x10s to the bottom and shorten the gap between each section so that the whole thing doesn't end up spanning the space between your front tire and rear tire. The plan suggest 18" so I'd go less, maybe 12". I think it's very doable though! Keep us posted if you make some!

Thanks! It took less than an hour to do too.

Post pics of yours when you get them done.

Too tall, and I'd worry about a tipping incident... with the only benefit being the Darwin Award (albeit posthumous.)

It'll be awhile... I have everything done by ADM Performance, although maybe for my next oil change. I still gotta clean the garage and paint the floor though so, again, it'll be awhile!

When dealing with lumber you have to subtract .5" from the board(s)... So if you have a 2x10xXX it is really 1.5x9.5xXX...

So 4 boards high is only 6", not 8" just FYI...

I buught the materials but havent built the ramps yet. For those who have built the ramps, is 6" high enough to get under there to reach the drain plug?

True that, good thing to point out. I've never understood why a 2x4 isn't really a 2x4!

You know...that's an excellent question. I haven't used mine yet so I don't know. I plan on changing my oil this weekend and will know for sure then. In just looking at them it seems high enough but I don't know for sure.

Anyone else actually use them yet??

Could not wait for an answer any longer so here they are. Used screws and glue for assembly. One of my boards was slightly warped so I will leave the car on the ramps til the glue dries. Theres enough room to get to the drain plug with no floor jack or jackstands to get in the way. For under $35 bucks these should work nicely. I love it when I make something that actually works.
